Executive Coaching

One of my favourite definitions of coaching comes from James Flaherty. He describes coaching as “… a way of working with people that leaves them more fulfilled so that they are more able to contribute to their organisations and find meaning in what they are doing.”

Effective coaching will always involve growth and change, however the nature of this will vary from client to client. In my experience, some of the most common areas for development include:

  • Transitioning to a new role
  • Having difficult conversations
  • Personal effectiveness
  • Strategic thinking
  • Confidence and personal impact
As a result of working with Melissa, my work/life balance and my skills in academic leadership have certainly improved and I am now better able to support the team for which I am responsible.
